It’s no secret that we’re a little obsessed with Constant Contact. Alright, maybe more than a little obsessed. Can you really blame us? Constant Contact makes it easy to streamline your online marketing with emails, promotions, events, surveys and more.
One other important feature of Constant Contact: you can sync it with your website. Today, we’re going to show you how to integrate Constant Contact with your WordPress site to funnel more leads right into your sales process. If you’re technically-savvy (or have a strong programmer on your side) you can create your own sign-up form from scratch. If you want to save time and energy, however, Constant Contact has a built-in tool that takes care of it for you.
Start by logging into Constant Contact. On the right side of your screen, you should see a box that says “sign-up tools.”
From here, click on the bright yellow “Create a Sign-Up Form” button on the right.
This is where you’ll create your sign-up form. First step is giving it a name and describing it (let people know what they’re signing up for!). You can then choose what email lists people will be added to when they sign up.
Here’s where things get fun: now you can input what information you want from your sign ups. Select the information that’s relevant to your business.
Finally, deck out your form with your company colors and logo.
Now that your form is done, it’s time to add it to your site. Click on “actions” next to your form and choose “embed code.” You can also select “sign-up button” if you just want to put a button your site that links out to your sign up form. Then, copy the code using control+c (or command+c, for Mac users).
All you have to do now is plop it into your site. Open up your site go into the editor to the page you want to insert the form. Need a refresher on how to edit pages? Check out our video tutorials. Once you’re on the page, make sure to select the “text” tab on the top of the screen. Then paste the code and ta da – you now have an interactive sign-up form on your site!
Now your site is integrated with your Constant Contact account. Any visitors who fill out this form will automatically be added to your email marketing campaign.
